Praminek's Old Bohemian Year
Join us on a journey in the footsteps of our ancestors and recall ancient traditions and rituals. Some customs still survive today, while others are slowly fading into the mists of time. Now is the time to dust them off and perhaps breathe new life into them. There are six stops along the way where young and old alike will be able to test their knowledge of folk traditions and history. Some customs were brought to our lands by the Christian faith, others are still with us from ancient pagan times. Four stops are divided according to the seasons and remind us of the customs associated with them, the fifth takes us into the realm of ancient tales and stories from Mariánské Lázně and its surroundings, and the sixth introduces us to important personalities of past times whose fates are linked to Mariánské Lázně. Our guide along the way will be the Marian elf Pramínek.
